Well Done Marketing earns American Advertising Award for Tonic Ball 15 poster

The mission to transform lives through the power of food is only possible due to the collective energy of an incredible group of talented individuals. From the dedicated force of more than 600 active volunteers who prepare and deliver our hunger relief meals to the 85 partner agencies who serve those meals to the hungry Hoosiers who need them most, to food donors, volunteer groups, food drive organizers, culinary job training partners, and so many others – it truly takes a village, as the saying goes.

Over the weekend, our longtime friends and collaborators at Well Done Marketing brought home an impressive list of honors from AAF Indianapolis‘ annual American Advertising Awards banquet. The creative agency won 7 awards in total, with an additional two awards by association. The team took home a gold Addy Award for Amy McAdams Gonzales’ beautiful Tonic Ball 15 poster design.

The Well Done Marketing team has a long history with Second Helpings. Well Done President, Ken Honeywell has served as a Second Helpings’ volunteer driver, board member, and general champion of this organization since its early days. Honeywell founded Tonic Ball in 2001, bringing together local musicians to cover songs by folk and country icon Gram Parsons at Radio Radio. In the 15 years since its inception, Tonic Ball has blossomed into a hunger-fighting juggernaut, raising more than $500,000 in support of Second Helpings’ food rescue, hunger relief and culinary job training efforts.

Gonzales’ keen eye and talent have become integral to the Tonic Ball brand over the years. She has designed the lion’s share of event posters and t-shirts that attendees collect and wear with devotion.

In addition to the Tonic Ball collaborations, Well Done Marketing does a range of other work for Second Helpings that shapes our communications efforts and the ways we’re perceived in the public. In the past, they have designed our annual report, they keep our fragile and outdated website in working order, design our philanthropic impact post cards, and a variety of other materials. The modesty of the Well Done Marketing team will deflect the recognition they receive upon their clients, but the diversity of the Addys received over the weekend tells a different story: this is a talented team that any client should feel fortunate to work with.
