What do you like most about your job?
What I like most about working at Second Helpings is meeting people. We get all types of people coming in our doors from volunteers young and old, folks finding themselves in our CJT program, others working in partner agencies, and this list goes on and on. I love learning about what brought someone to Second Helpings and who they are when they aren’t in our building.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
The best career lesson I have learned is to listen to what people have to say. Most people will tell you what they need or want, you just have to learn to listen and really hear what they are trying to tell you.
Where is your favorite place to be?
My favorite place to be is the beach. A chair, a book, the sun, and the sounds of the ocean – the perfect combination.
