We’re excited to introduce you to our Volunteer of the Month, Deb Childers! In her two years volunteering at Second Helpings, she has shared more than 250 hours of her time – more than 150 shifts –  to support the organization’s mission. She volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and helps the Hunger Relief kitchen team by writing tags for every pan of prepared food, labeled with the date, agency, and number of meals, so that drivers can easily identify pans while delivering meals across the community. Deb keeps us organized and helps make sure that the right food, in the right amount, makes it to the right agency!

Caitlin Bartnik, one of Second Helpings’ Kitchen Assistants, says, “Deb always offers to help and fill in any need we have! She’s hilarious and it’s so much fun having her around to help with the paperwork that is vital to getting food to our partner agencies.” Thank you for all you do to feed Indy, Deb!
