Donate Food

Today, eleven percent of households in Indiana are hungry or at risk of being hungry. Thanks to the work of Second Helpings, there will be 2,900 fewer people who are hungry tomorrow.

We can do so much more—but only with your help. Become a food donor. We’ll show you how easy it is to get started. And once you see the impact of your good work, we know you’ll want to keep going. Food donations require little effort on the part of food donors. Food donations can be arranged on a one-time basis or on an ongoing regular schedule.

Second Helpings’ most urgent food donation need is getting adequate protein for the children, adults and seniors we serve. Our goal is to secure an additional 1000 pounds of protein – meat, eggs, dairy, beans – for the people we serve.

We also have a regular need for rice and pasta, perfect ingredients for the casseroles that women, men and children at our recipient agencies enjoy.
