  • Favorite Food: It is hard to pick just one! I am partial to a good bowl of pasta, but am also a big fan of fresh fish.
  • What inspires you most about Second Helpings’ mission? Food insecurity is a huge problem in the United States and it impacts so many people locally. Hunger is not centric to any one place in our state, it impacts people in every county and city in Indiana. There are a number of incredible agencies in Central Indiana whose core mission is to mitigate food insecurity, but Second Helpings is the only one that fights it from all angles. They execute as well as any other business, but it is a business with a huge heart. Their impact and how they go about doing it is truly remarkable. The people who work at Second Helpings and who volunteer there are what make the difference, and it is an organization that I wanted to be a part of.
  • What’s something you like to do outside of work? With four very active kids, most weekends I am going to a cross country or track meet, swim meet, or a soccer game. I thoroughly enjoy being a spectator and fan for the teams that they are a part of. I run most mornings, and love to sprinkle in swims throughout the summer. In my experience, you never regret a good swim. I love to cook and read most days as well. My wife is also an avid runner and is perennially training for the next big race/marathon. I also enjoy our local art museums and the content they bring to Central Indiana.
