Appreciated stocks can be donated to Second Helpings by transferring them directly into our account. Since electronic transfers of stock arrive with no donor name attached, we ask that you contact us prior to transferring stock to Second Helpings. A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a charitable giving account that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes.
Donor-advised funds can easily be set up through a community foundation or your financial institution, and donors recommend grants from their funds to support causes they care about. If you already have a donor-advised fund that participates in DAF Direct (such as Fidelity, DAFgiving360, and BNY Mellon), you can recommend grants to support Second Helpings here.

Receiving monthly gifts allows Second Helpings to plan our budget, knowing what gifts we can depend on receiving. Scheduling a recurring gift can also help you fit giving into your monthly budgets and perhaps even see that doing so allows you to give more than you could at one time.
