You Can Help Us Eliminate Hunger In Central Indiana

Today, hundreds of thousands of people in Indiana are hungry or at risk. Thanks to the work of Second Helpings, there will be 3,000 fewer people who are hungry tomorrow. We can do so much more—but only with your help. Become a food donor. We’ll show you how easy it is to get started. And once you see the impact of your good work, we know you’ll want to keep going.

Our goal is to secure commitments for an additional 1,000 pounds of protein per week—that’s what we need to adequately feed the people we currently serve.

When you donate food to Second Helpings, you:

  • Reduce the amount of waste clogging our landfills and harming our environment (and reduce your disposal costs at the same time)
  • Help train underprivileged people for meaningful employment in the fast-growing food service industry
  • Help feed hungry people in Central Indiana; recent studies show that more than 10 percent of Indiana families are hungry on a daily basis!
  • Show your employees that you’re a good corporate citizen and encourage them to support the causes they care about
  • Have virtually no liability, since your donations are protected by Good Samaritan laws
  • Create virtually no more work for yourself or your staff, as we can arrange pickups or deliveries at your convenience.
