Drumming Up Support for Second Helpings
Regions Bank, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Percussive Arts Society are joining forces to offer downtown lunch goers a rare opportunity. Unleash your inner percussionist during a Percussion Party event set for Thursday, Oct. 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monument Circle and help make a difference for one of Indy's most impactful food rescue initiatives at the same time.
Billed as "A Drum Circle on the Circle," this unique, interactive experience will feature an ongoing drum circle in which participants will collectively play instruments ranging from buckets to cowbells. The drum circle component of the event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. The bank will also be distributing Regions branded cowbells to tie in with the SAVE Brigade campaign's theme of "The Rhythm of Savings."
Several local media personalities will serve as special drum circle facilitators, including Trisha Shepherd, anchor with RTV6, Scott, The Face of MyINDY-TV, Boomer from the Indiana Pacers and Rowdie from the Indianapolis Indians.
During the Percussion Party, donations will be accepted for Second Helpings through a pasta, rice and fund collection drive. Individuals may drop off food items or donate money in specially marked
Regions SAVE containers. We thank you for your generosity.
