Agency Spotlight: EmberWood Center
EmberWood, our newest Partner Agency
EmberWood Center, formerly Community Addiction Services of Indiana, Inc. (CASI), promotes growth, respect and integrity through community-based services that address the cycle of addiction with individuals and families in central Indiana. EmberWood is an outpatient drug, alcohol, and gambling treatment facility for adolescents and adults, utilizing evidence-based practice and a sliding fee scale in its service provision in Marion County.
On Thursday June 24th EmberWood Center received their first meal from Second Helpings. It is my pleasure to share with you what Sharon Young, Community Aftercare Coordinator, had to say:
“I would love to tell you a little about our first lunch for our clients. It was better than we expected. We had clients so surprised and excited about the meal. One young lady kept telling us we would be blessed for this! Another gentleman asked about the chef school and was very excited to get more information. Everyone had plenty to eat. On top of all of that one thing I didn’t plan was the opportunity for our staff to sit down with our clients. It was wonderful to see everyone relaxing and enjoying each others company. Thank you and everyone at Second Helpings for giving us the opportunity to connect with our clients on another level.”
